About Us
Light Street Barbers has been in Federal Hill since 1995 and at our Light Street location since 1998. We are a business that is committed to the people and community of South Baltimore.
Light Street Barbers takes pride in our large military, fire and police clientele, thanks to our knowledge and skill in the military regulation styles that are required. We do flat tops, high and tight or anything in between. Fades, tapers, businessman's trim or little boy's bowl cuts, you'll get the style of your choice. We do a variety of styles of men's and boy's haircuts. We listen to our client's requests and help them achieve the look and style of their choice, guaranteed. If you are not happy, you won't pay.
We are an old time barber shop. This location has been a barbershop, owed by the Fishbeck family, from 1900-1954. Barbering is in our blood. Laura's Great-great grandfather, Anton Laumann, opened a barbershop on Main Street, Ellicott City in 1860. When Anton retired, he past his business down to his son, Phillip Laumann. Phil worked with his sons, John and Albert until 1952. Keith's grandfather, Bud Gray, opened another Barber shop on Main Street, Ellicott City in the early 1940's. He worked until he retired in 1984.
Come in and check out our collection of barber memorabilia, our family history and enjoy the friendly atmosphere and interesting conversation. We have a modern Barber Shop with an old time feel.
Friday nights are for adults only, after 4pm, you must be 18yrs old to be in the barber shop. BYOB.
Walk-ins are welcome during the week, and on Saturday for Will and Moe.
Appointments are required for Keith on Saturdays.
Parking in rear of building Monday through Friday.
